“Our stay at Favola Umbra was wonderful! Laila and her family did a fabulous job hosting my family and friends who come all the way to Italy to see my husband and I celebrate our love. Marco, their on-site assistant, spoke great English and was incredibly helpful with whatever we needed; restaurants, butcher, grocery, taxi, setting up for our event. The accommodation was perfect luxury, and the location was an elegant space to spend a holiday. We totally recommend anyone and everyone to stay here!”

"We have just arrived back to Norway after spending an amazing week at Favola Umbra. What a fantastic property and house! Excellent organized, maintained and equipped. All what you need is present. Sitting out in the beautiful garden, overviewing the landscape and listen to the frogs in the lakes on a warm summer evening is pure magic and gives warmth to a frozen Norwegian mind. Even better is the hospitality and the service we got at Favola Umbra. The family who owns the place, and their employees, are even more wonderful than the property. Their helpfulness, warmth and smile are always present, or available. We miss you and we would love to come back.”

"The pictures on line do not do justice to this unbelievable property . We had four families and a few friends totaling 27 people . We each had our own apartment and private space even at the pool but when we gathered for dinner , there was enough seating inside and outside to accommodate all of us . Laila graciously recommended Marco to give us a pasta cooking class and we loved him so much , he cooked our final farewell dinner in true Umbrian fashion . There were hiking trails , a fishing pond (we didn’t catch anything ) bikes , beautiful sunflower fields surrounding the property . Sunsets were outstanding . And the proximity to Perugia , Assisi , Siena and Montepluciano were great . We all started in Rome and the property is only 2 hours away . Florence was also only less than 2 hours . I wish we had more time because Perugia was our favorite city . I know everyone loved the experience and the beauty of the region . Thank you again Laila for your hospitality and kind words”

"This property was amazing and fit our needs perfectly. We had 22 people and each group had their own area but we gathered daily in the main dining area. We grilled out, had a chef come and fix us dinner and several days of pit luck. Daily trips to the surrounding hilltop towns of Todi, Orvieto, Spello, Siena, and Florence one day. You definitely need a car but that gave all of us options. We rented in Perugia and others chose to rent cars in Rome and Sorrento. The property is well maintained and we felt like we were in a very special place. Beautiful sunsets and many outdoor seating areas. You have to put Favola Umbria on your list! It gave us all the quiet and peace we wanted after being in the bigger Italian cities.”
